It is no more a news that a customer sues MTN and was paid back the unlawful call credit discussion. MTN Nigeria has paid a customer N 497,349.00, in compliance with a Federal High Court judgment. Oluwole Aluko, a legal practitioner, sued the telecommunications company in 2016, alleging unlawful deduction of his call credit.

The judge, Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel, of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, had in 2017 entered judgment in favour of the claimant when there was no representation for MTN throughout the hearing period until the judgment day.

Abiola Olagunju and Fatiullah Tiamiyu later announced their representation for MTN, with an application asking the court to set aside its judgment against their client.

Mr Oluwole Aluko informed the court that MTN had paid him the sum of N 497,349.00, in compliance with the court’s earlier order at the hearing on Monday, 14 May 2018. and the case was struck out by the Judge contempt against MTN’s lawyers.
